Bright Rally Red- 2000 Camaro SS #5075 M6
No Traction :brick:
Ok so I raced my buddy last night in his 2000 Mustang GT. My problem is I couldn't hook up anywhere. I mean we tried from a dig and even a 15mph and 30mph roll and I was going nowhere. Needless to say I was pretty pissed that my LS1 was getting walked all over by this stang. So my main question is how to I put this power to the ground. I have 275/40/R17 Sumitomes and SFC's. I was thinking about getting my rear wheel widened so I could safely run 315's. Everything else suspension wise is stock. Basically what suspension parts are gonna help me hook up and should I get my rear wheels widened? Thanks for the help.

Red- 1998 Camaro SS
re:
Ever thought of upgrading the suspension? Wider and sticker tires always help, but a new torque arm, LCAs and relocation brackets would greatly improve your traction. I’m running Spohn performance everything in the rear and I hook up pretty well with my 275/40/17 BFG Gforce KDWs. The stock suspension is not set up to create a lot of anti-squat, but with the after markets parts installed you will create much more. Plus the parts are designed to take the punishment of a higher horsepower car unlike the stock parts. Also with doing the suspension mods you can run a street tire and still hook up.

lower controll arms are the best traction suspension mod you can do and they are pretty cheap that is the first thing i would do if i was you.
