Bat mobile black- 2000 Trans am WS6 M6
Need help choosing between panhard and sway
Ok guys im trying to slowly upgrade my suspension before i go with any big hp mods. Right now my suspension is stock except for Sportlines, Rear QA1 adjustables, RCA's, and an Adjustable BMR torque arm. Im thinkinkg of gettin a adjustable panhard bar because my car is really loose and doesnt feel firm on take off or going 100+. I dont have a lot of money right now to buy front A arms like i want but i have enough for a panhard or a sway bar.

blacker than wesleysnipes- 98' trans am
panhard bar x2 because your suspension geometry is all out of wack due to your adj. parts and your lowering springs...you need the panhard bar to center the rear..even more that you are lowered

Whenever you change lots of suspension the car will always sit differently. The panhard bar (which is the same on a WS6 and regular Trans Am) is non adjustable and if you look at a car that's been lowered with a stock panhard bar the rear end looks slightly off center.
Definately go for an adjustable panhard bar, get everything center and enjoy the car. It really won't have an effect on handling as much as it is important for lateral centering of the rear end.

Get your front alignment checked. Possibly not enough + caster, and/or to much "toe-in/out.

yes, i was going to open up another thread about this but since u mentioned it i will say it. I guess when the previous owner dopped the car he didnt do anything else, the front 2 wheels are pivoting in a lot. The insides of the tires are wearing out a lot faster than the rest of the tire. Does an alignment fix this or do i need a different suspension piece?

Should be able to remedy it with an alignment unless there are worn parts in the front suspension.

I did the UMI on on car adj. LCA and panhard bar combo and even with the old stock shocks and springs the rear felt much better cornering. Now withe the BWR springs, spohn sway bars and KYB AGX's it's like driving a different car. I was amazed at just what the panhard and lca's did though.
