Mods in Planning
Alrighty time to plan out the mods for spring
lemme know what you think
Tune: Frost Mail-in or dyno ( i find dyno to be over the top for bolt ons)
Rims: Currently Black powercoated C5Zs im thinking powdercoated gunmetal grey
Tires: Coopers
Rotors: Ebay cheapos
Brakes: Autozone specials
Shocks: Leaning towards (slp) Bilsteins? KYB AGX? I know konis are #1 but id like to stay away from dropping $1100 on shocks
Springs: Stranos
Suspension: UMI Adj PHB, Adj LCAs, and LCA Relocation Brackets
Interior: Gotta get my dash in since the one is cracked now. may look into new carpet since this fits horrible. 6LE Seats. (ill call the local restoration shop to see what prices they shoot me)
Suggestions? Opinions? Reasonings?

Pewter- 2001 Camaro SS hard top
From what I understand from planning my own drop with stranos, you'll want an adj panhard bar and lower control arms to go with them

An adjustable panhard bar is a must but the LCA's are not. Of course his wheel/tire combo may require the fully adjustable LCA's in order to fit without scrubbing.
If you're lowered LCA Relocation Brackets are needed due to the compromise in the geometry on the instant center. Brackets will significantly improve instant center position, eliminate wheel hop and increase traction. Brackets installed will also help 60- foot times of .10 or better, lower ETs and increase track consistency.

I bought the following items from Strano :
stranoparts.com/partdetails.php?PartID=709&CategoryID=70&ModelID=8
&
stranoparts.com/partdetails.php?PartID=48&CategoryID=102&ModelID=8
I'm extremely happy with the UMI products and Strano service.
As for the LCA's get adjustable ones to help center wheels.

Check with UMI and/or KYSPEED for your suspension needs. Both are sponsors on the site.

Hey, good morning and Happy New Year.
We have good luck with SLP Bilsteins as a cost effective/non-adjustable damper. The AGX's are nice as well. Setting 1 is 5% softer than stock while setting 8 is 123% stiffer than stock. 2 is stock. SLP's are nice because you bolt them on and go. KYB's are nice if you like to tinker. And yes, of course Koni's rock but also wreck the budget.
We have a Chevelle in the 10's on bolt-on brackets so no problem there. Of course it's better to bolt first then ensure your safety with a few stitches of weld.
Your Strano spring and UMI adjustable PHB is a great combo (then again I'm partial).
sounds like a nice build

Navy Blue Metallic- 98 T/A, 00 FBVert, 78T/A
I don't see SFC's listed - if you got them good, if not get them. 3 points are best, but 2 points are still better then nothing.
I'd also tell you to throw on a full length torque arm and a relocate kit to remove it off the tail cone of the tranny and you'll be set. I got mine from UMI along with all my suspension stuff, except I went with Hotchkis shocks. Strano had a long back order when I needed them, I did not have the option of waiting. No complaints so far.

yeah,
ive been attemping to sale it here for a while and either upgrade to a c5z or get a truck,
but as it looks (and everyone trying to sale will agree) the market is slow and everybody wants something for nothing. i have too much money in it now and even if i got asking price i still would have lost a few grand so i will probably drive it and put a couple bucks in it here and there until i have enough to buy a decent truck and slowly turn this into my drag project
