    Lowering questions

So lets say I want to lower my camaro....what do I need?

I'm assuming new shocks of course.

But I've seen ads for "lowering springs" but then ive also seen people getting new LCA's, and other stuff...

    what exactly do i need.

Depending on how low you go an adjustable panhard bar is a good thing to have. LCAs are not necessary and shocks just complete the package. Don't want to do all the work and have your shocks take a crap on you.

You want an adjustable panhard so you can recenter the rearend and lower control arms and relocation brackets for them.

Are you thinking of lowering it for looks or to have fun? Knowing that will determine how aggressive you want to get with your upgrades.

My car is on eibach sportlines and no LCAs or Relocation brackets yet. No Problems here. Not saying they aren't going on eventually but you should be fine without em for now. Panhard bar and shocks... different story.

I would reccomend strano or bmrsince i have bmr and my friend has Stano's and we both have kyb agx shoks good to do while toy taking it apart antway. both ride and handle well. My frinds Sportline look sick but ride terrible unless the road is smooth. Also I would reccoment the UMI adj. umi/panhard dar set. They make a hug differnce even before lowered. keeps the rear in check at hard corners. Also some UMI LCA relocations brackets are good to have since may car has a good alighnment, ahndles well, and looks good, also hbe spohn sway bar set so that hepls a bit.

need a new axle it was a dd in MA

All you really need are Springs, but as mentioned before the stock shocks are incapable of dampening the stock springs let alone a stiffer spring with less travel. So shocks are a must, and an Adj. Panhard bar is needed to recenter the rear after the drop.

    necessary things-

    1) adj. phb to center the body over the rear end.

    2) adj. torque arm to align the pinion angle.

    3) LCA relo. brackets to prevent wheel hop

things that aren't so necessary but help-

    -LCA's
    -adj lower A arms
    -shocks/struts

A torque arm isn't necessary and neither are relocation brackets

I guess it's not if you don't mind putting unecessary stress on your yoke. I have sportlines, and before I put in my adj. TA I used the magnetic angle finder on my stocker just to see if I was close with the stock settings and it was way off.

maybe if you have a mild drop spring it's not as big of a deal

Not saying its not gonna put a lot less stress on everything, just saying it's not a necessity is all. And any good shock should do just fine.
