    1999 Ram Air Trans Am

    KYB AGX question

    My TA has fairly new AGX shocks/struts that the previous owner installed. I can't seem to find any info on the adjustment for them. The dial indicates 1-10 and they're set on 4 right now. Anyone else have these? Likes or dislikes? I'm planning on thrashing the car 1/4 mile and also road racing, so I'd like to keep them if I can figure out the adjustment. Any feedback would be much appreciated!

    Wish I knew. It's SLAMMED on the ground, lowest car I've ever had. I'm contemplating new springs just to get it up at least an inch.

    strano's springs.....lovem......bout a 1.4 inch drop.......sounds like u have eibach sportlines......get rid of em

    Should've known. Thanks for the direction! Looks like 1 is the softest setting on the shocks/struts and 8 is the hardest based on the info I can find out there. New springs being ordered next week. Anyone use their adjustable torque arm/driveshaft loop/mount relocation?

    agx issues

    Sounds like my setup is like yours. I purchased the car recently, I was told it has eibach springs (pro or sportline?) I installed agx shocks today, still having lowering, rubbing issues on road dips. I found that my tires are 1 inch taller than stock, an issue, and eibach springs are softer than others. I like the agx shocks, but need a definite answer on springs also.... may consider a 1 inch coil spring spacer?

    what size are the tires? get tires that fit!!!!

    Seems that's the largest issue here. The car came with Kumho 275/40-18. I beleive that if I went to a 265/35-18 it should help or cure. Any comments. Thanks

    I just installed AGX's, but I have stock springs. So far setting 5 seems pretty good to me. A little firmer than stock, but actually the ride is better. I would think that for 1/4 mile runs, you would need to go even higher, maybe the maximum, but I can't say from experience.

    Last night I had a chance to check for grip on somewhat wet roads (not raining). I used to have bad issues with losing traction in third (M6) as the rpm's rose. Last night it still broke loose, but it was more even and predictable. The shocks were the only change, so I have to think they are an improvement for traction. People swear by Koni's, but for the price and somewhat stock stance of my car, I think the AGX's are going to be fine.

    275/35/18 would be STOCK tire height ....u could easily run 295s in the rear though if ud like ..and yes the size tires they have on there are definitly to tall
