Koni Sport (Single Adjustable) question
to the people running Koni single adjustable,
which setting do you run on?
would it be best to get new spring with shock, or simply run with stock springs for now?
My car is a daily driven road car. I was thinking that the simple 3/4" drop would be better for me, but i've heard from a friend that the ride is more bouncy in this method.
my other option is to save up more and get the Koni 4/3 from Strano, then later on doing the springs (if i really need them)
I'm currently preparing the car for the small lowering; I've already done the PHB and LCA, just need the LCA relocation brakets, and PHB relocation.

I was on the fence about getting springs also. But knowing that I would have to take the fronts apart again to install the springs I decided to buck up and get the springs shocks and swaybars together.
As far as the best settings for the shocks, well there is no best settings cause different people like different things. I would suggest starting in the middle in front and full soft in the rear then adjust to your liking. I have a friend with a Drop Top SS who did the lower perch and the hose mod with his stock springs and he has no problems with a bouncy ride.
Also I bought the 4/4 set because I wanted the on car adjustability of the 4th gen rears. IIRC the 3rd gen shocks need to be removed to make any adjustments.
Call Sam he should be able to help you put together the best setup to suite your needs.Last edited by 9T8W66; 12-30-2008 at 01:45 PM.

My life is a- Ben Stiller movie.
haven't had the privilage of being in a car with strano springs yet, but my last ws6 had stock springs an 4/3 SA's. OMG. it was heavenly. Very predictable and smooth as silk over bumps. I had it them at one complete turn from full stiff. You will love it. my current ws.6 has 4/4 SA's and eibach prokit and its very harsh at any setting-would not recommend that combo

As far as a spring goes, A spring that only drops the car a little bit and top quality is a factor Strano springs I have them and people talk about them for a reason. Look it up on other post. When they are talking about some other springs they just say they are good, look nice, ect. But when they talk about strano springs they say specifics about how the car handels better, meaning specific differences "GOOD". Running a car lowered is going to feel more harsh. there is just less spring hight to perform the same task. i have the strano springs with fully adjustable koni's. I really like the stance and feel. The car just sucks to the road. and having full adjustability is really setteling feeling.

well, as i've stated; I use my car as a daily driver. I'm worried about ground clearance. i'm just looking to improve the handling for road use. I want a set of shocks i can set and forget, I'm just not sure about springs.

So you're comparing Bilstein's to Koni's as performance shocks? I don't think so.

ok, so Koni Sport is what i was thinking, but at what setting should I set the Single Adjustable shock at? the lower perch setting, dropping 3/4". Or high perch setting for stock.
will either setting be better than the other? and springs, is it a waste to keep the stock springs? or should i get a package of shocks+springs?
