    Illustrated lowering spring Install???

    I was wondering if anyone had any illustrated instuctions on installing lowering springs. My car is a 99 ws6.

    i did my rears w/the help of a fellow Ls1.com member...

    i had the fronts professionally installed. Im glad I did because the problem that was encountered while the professionals were doing it, would have caused me a great deal of time and grief. the nut on the top of the passenger side front shock and the rubber boot surrounding it was to degraded and rusted that they had to cut the nut off the shock (thus ruining the shock), and they had a replacement there...

    i would seriously recommend that unless you have a floor standing spring compressor and know what the hell you are doing, that you let professionals handle it. a small little hand help spring compressor is just a disaster waiting to happen...

    my buddy has a floor mounted one. I was just wondering if we will have to disconnect the brake lines at the master cyl, when we do the front. the car is a 99 and only has 19,400 miles with no rain or snow.

    no i do not believe that you will. i know the shop did not bleed my brakes when they did the front springs. they just hung the calipers out of the way...

    SAME thing happened to me...good thing I was gonna change the Shocks anyways... still hurt my pockets in ways I can't even understand...
