Cool Hose Mod Kit for rear springs

Ok everyone my questions are this....... How many of you have done the hose mod on the back of your car? Is it a good idea? I was told a lot of people have done this? I am afraid to buy a lowering springs kit, because I plan on adding headers in the future. My y-pipe already drags over some speed bumps. All I want is to lower the rear of the car about an inch for a more agressive look. Should I just buy some rear springs?

The hose mod works fine, lots of people have done it with no issues. It's popular because it is a FREE way to lower the rear a little bit. If you don't mind the cost, lowering springs or coilovers give you more lowering and more options.

Thanks.... I guess I could just try the Hose Mod and if i don't like it I can buy the springs later.

I did the hose mod, cost $4 and lowered my car a full 1 1/4 in the rear on borh sides. No more tugboat look, my ride sits even all the way around

Many people out there do the hose mod. I've had F-bodies where I did it as well.
