Black- 2000 Camaro SS
Do I need any special tools to replace my struts?
I'm going to replace my shocks and struts on my 2000 SS. I know I will need a spring compressor. Are there any other specialty tools needed to replace the strut?
As far as the compressor, I'm going to get one of the "clam shell"types. Any pros or cons on the type of spring compressor?
Thanks.

Other than spring compressor, no special tools needed.

Thanks. By the way, your taste in cars is impeccable and your color choice excellent.

you will need a torx socket bit as well. i think T50. there are two bolts under the master cylinder that have torx heads on them. to access one of them, you will need to remove the master cylinder from the brake booster. you do not need to remove the brake lines from the master cylinder to do this.

Navy Blue Metallic- 2000 Camaro Z28
Impact wrench or Grinder! I spent 1/2 hr trying to break loose the rusted bolts in the front shocks. I was surprised how bad it was considering the car is not that old.
