2000 SS is Higher on Driver's Side (Rear)

I noticed on my sons 2000 SS that the clearance between the top of the rear wheels and wheel openings is huge, but on the driver's side it is almost and inch higher than the passenger's side. I'm speaking in terms of "higher", because the passenger side clearance is still 3+ inches so the driver's side is even more. It's ridiculous, but then again maybe 4 inches (driver's side) of clearance is normal? The car is stock.

On a level surface you can actually see the difference from the rear. The car leans to the passenger side.

Can anyone explain this? I'm thinking bad spring on the passenger side or bad "something" on the driver's side?

    Thanks for your input.

Either I didn't explain this problem clearly or it must be a freak of a car since nobody has responded?

I always thought the driver-side was a bit higher. Then would level out when you sat down.

    Thanks for the response.

I guess that makes sense, except our other cars sit level. Maybe GM planned for the Camaro to actually be driven?

If it's not a big deal, I won't worry about it.

I'll be doing a suspension upgrade is a few weeks so I'll check it again then.

All the cars are biased to the driver side height and off center.
And adj Panhard will solve the centering problem.
For the height check the spring orientation the lower end of the springs should point toward the front of the car.
Mine had moved (twisted) over time.the car will still be taller on the left side but not as much maybe 1/2".
