who makes the best rebuild t56

looking to rebuild my t56 need it to be tuff and able to shift smoodly at high rpm 7000.

In order to shift well at that rpm you are going to need some hydraulic upgrades.

As far as the t56, Tick Performance, Libertys Gears and D&D Transmissions are all well reputable builders. I personally had mine built my Libertys and was very impressed. Great turnaround time, great customer service and great prices!

I've heard TICK performance is great. I know a few local people here in WA that Build up T56's as well. My friend in his T/A runs a Viper Spec T56, good for a 1000hp.

tanks guys but i am looking for the best shifting t56 or magnum for the price and i all ready upgraded my hydraulic futur power will be in the 700 rwhp max.

My T56 is at tick right now... I'll let you guys know how they do. They are running a special until the end of december for free shipping too. Decently priced IMO 1149$ for their level two

I had RPM transmission build my T56 to their level IV upgrade.

No issues thus far.

If you want a real racing transmission the T56 is not the answer. Go with a Turbo 400. The shift rail design of the T56 is not designed for fast, hard upper RPM shifts. It does not matter who builds it. Just my .02. Yes you can beef up your T56 to handle a lot of power, but the design of it is still there.

+1. If you want a really fast drag car with an unbreakable transmission Auto is the way to go.

guys its not to break records that i want my t56 rebuild its for the plesure of driving .ps a real sports car doesnt have a automatic

I told you if you want that, the T56 is not your answer.

I've heard good things from RPM and Tick. Various upgrade kits out there too. They aren't hard to crack open and do yourself if you are mechanically inclined.

That's why I sold my Auto that was pretty fast n bought a six speed. I was simply saying the Auto cant be beat at the strip lol. I LOVE my Six speed car.

so.. im thinking about sending mine to Tick over the summer for a rebuild...
im thinking level 3 (maybe two?) with all the goodies...however...is it really worth getting all the bells and whistles...
ive always been the kind of guy to fix it and fix it right the first time...or is this overkill for a DD with a couple passes a year?
