What flywheel is this?
so i was replacing my oil pan gasket [again] when i noticed this on my flywheel:
it's a bit blurry, but it says 1255 4130 H.
seems like a stock flywheel shouldn't be made of 4130, no? anybody got any idea what flywheel this is? when i installed this motor and tranny from the wrecker, i didn't notice any special clutch. that is to say, it was dirty and had a standard-sized, full-faced disk, and a pressure plate with the normal array of smallish fingers.
i only noticed this after i had spent a very long time cleaning up the bottom of the block, so i didn't want to turn the crank and risk releasing more oil. i figured this was probably sufficient, but when i googled the numbers, i came up empty-handed.
in any case i have no use for a steel flywheel, so if anybody wants to trade . . .~Jason
