I was thinking the main shaft was different. and obviously different bell housing.

yes all hou need is a diffrent bellhousing, I think one of the sponsors here carry it.

Pretty sure you can keep the t56 and put viper internals and steel shift forks and have a bad ass trans. The car im about to buy has this done by W2W.

yes you can put the viper guts in the fbody t-56. me and my buddy just rebuilt his t-56 using viper internals.

Yea, I've found all the stuff that interchanges. The input shaft is the only real problem with just getting a Viper tranny.
