Transmission Mount Photos
Hey Owners,
Goodwrench tech mention that I had a broken Transmission mount when replacing the Convertors.
Look for images of the mount at this forum and on the Internet but was not able to come up with a single thing. What does the mount look like and can one replace it home using ramps and Jacks?
What do think he meant when he said broken? How does a mount break?
These are the images that I have found of of Ebay and Install University:
Can a broken mount cause the the vehicle to stall upon acceleration? Please share some detail images of your mount with us.
Thanks Buddies,

I had to replace mine on my LT1. he probably means the rubber part. mine was torn and you could defiantly feel it when shifting and hard acceleration. go to http://www.installuniversity.com/ they can show you how to replace it. its really easy only takes about 20 min.

do you see the hole in the middle of the mount? the bushing is inside of there... that is the part that broke!!! you have to take the bolt out of that... and the 4 bolts on the side of your mount...

Thanks for the suggestion.... it looks easy enough to replace unless I get a snagged at not being able to unscrew the bolts.
I will ramp up the vehicle and check to see what broke.... I guess I was confuse for people where selling the support member on Ebay calling it the mount. More than that, I can't see how a bushing would break when it's plastic.
Thank you,
Matt

I could feel it moving when I took out the mount so I did use the jack to hold it in place. I would defiantly do it. better be safe than sorry.
