Trans Cooler for M6???
I was wondering if a trans cooler would help me out. I can feel a lot of heat coming from my ashtray when I have my arm over it and it kind of worrys me-not kind of, a lot. Sometimes I take the whole ash tray out to let it "ventilate", prolly doesn't help but it puts my mind to rest a little. This may be a stupid question but its better to be safe than sorry...Is this normal?

2002 Z28 A4 NBM- Sadly now demodded :(
1st problem is that a manual tranny has no pump, therfore no fluid will move.

As stated above, you need a pump to move fluid so it can be cooled. The T-56's don't have a pump, so no option for a cooler.
Using a little bit of Lucas oil treatment does help though. I've actually seen that stuff clear up some noisy transmissions and even quiet down a syncro bark.
