    Tranny Removal

Does anyone on here have a write-up on a tranny removal of a T56? I'm removing my tranny from my 00 Formula to fix my 4th gear problem. It seems I lost 4th gear in my car...I guess that will happen with 475RWHP

Anyways, any help would be great. Thanks.

you wanna know the best trick? pay $350 to have a shop do it. Im serious, atleast do it the first time! Then you will know how the next.

But if you REALLY want to (you will wish you hadnt) get the following tools:

    Transmission jack
Pilot bearing puller (advance auto parts $25 refundable rental)
    floor jack
    metric tool set w/flex adapters
    clutch install writeup www.installuniversity.com
remember theres 2 parts, you unbolt the tranny from the bellhousing FIRST!!!
Have a knowlegeable friend to help you!!!

btw black, you wont need a pilot bearing puller OR have to remove bellhousing.

It helps to take out the back bolt of the torque arm so it can swing.....and put your transmission bushing bolt in before you stick the tranny back up there!!

AND grind the lip off the shifter area to help get it back in!!!!!!!
