    Tranny mount

I've aquired a 2002 WS6 T/A 6 speed that is in need of a rear transmission mount.Would like to find a neoprene, or a better than factory mount. Any suggestions on where to purchase? No local parts houses have them.

    Thanks!

Welcome! just a bit of advice, if you have to keep replacing your factory style mount its because you have bad motor mounts, took me a few to figure that out, otherwise try
    energysuspensionparts.

yes energy suspension parts is good...i purchased the energy suspension tranny mount when i had my formula...cost me 30 bucks at autozone...and it was well worth it...you'll be surprised how much power you lose due to a broken mount..that mount is much more solid than stock...after i installed that mount i was frickin surprised at what it did!

Just keep in mind the poly tranny mounts will send more vibrations to the body.

yes on the tranny mount...have never done motor mounts on these cars but on older cars it was easier from the bottom..i just pulled the mm bolts out...put a board across the front pully and jacked up the engine...but like i said..im not sure about these cars.

put a jack on one of the 'arms' of the motor lift it enough to get the pressure off, remove the long bolt going through the mount then procede to remove the other shorter ones holding the mount to the body. should take about 3/4 hours for a first time, theres alot in the way

Did you get the universal mount? On the website there are two different GM mounts. Which one do I need for an A4?

I'm not sure if it was universal. I went to autozone and asked for the tranny mount for my formula. It may fit many applications.

a PITA, just lower the K member and let it hang if you're doing mount and stand or solid install.

definitely alot stiffer than before. i bought it mainly due to the counter price difference from the parts store and the stealership.
