T56 transmission help!!!!

I have a 2000 ws6 trans am an when i put it in fith gear it pops out into nutural unless i hold it there.If u have any info to what it maybe or things i can check it would be awsome thanks

could have a bent shift fork, or like my tranny, a snap ring on the shift rail left loose, which didnt allow me to get mine out of 5th, or ur syncros could be worn too much, either way its probably not going to be pretty

It could also be the shift fork pad. I had that problem w/ reverse.
