    T56 Slave cylinder

Does anyone know if the slave cylinder seals have failed, will it hold vacuum when using the Mity Vac bleeding process?

Are you pulling a vacuum at the master cylinder reservoir? I think it should hold a little vacuum, but I not sure how much.

Yes, I have a good seal as I pull vacuum.
Where I am going with this is, I replaced my clutch and did not replace the slave. Really did not think I needed to. After hooking everything back up, bench bleed Master, installed line to slave i noticed some fluid dripping from the lower bellhousing. I don't know if it was spillage from hooking up or what.
I bleed the system and have been pumping the pedal a lot. If the slave is bad, would the fluid leak be strong or a couple of drops?
Clutch engages low off the floor, I am not sure I am bleeding properly with the Mity Vac.
Do you pull fluid, watch for bubbles and then release pressure so the fluild is drawn back in the system?

I found that if I just stuck the Mity Vac hose adapter down in the reservoir hole, pumped up a vacuum, and then simply released the vacuum...that was letting the air I just pumped out of the system, back into the system. So I modified it a little by pumping up a vacuum, let it sit for a few seconds while I watched the fluid and air travel through the hose. Then I quickly yanked the hose out. The vacuum on the system sucked the reservoir fluid into the system. I did that several times until all I was sucking out was fluid (no air).

    Thanks,'

Right now I don't now if I have a bad Slave or not. Car shifts, pedal engages about 1 inch from floor, one drop of fluid hanging from the bellhousing opening.

    Any fluid leak....bad slave?

Yes, if it leaks fluid its bad. Try cleaning it up a few times and rechecking. If you keep seeing drips, then it must be leaking.
