    stock hurst centering problem

My car is suppose to have the stock hurst. Has BBS rpo code and on window sticker options. I have a lous short stick on it. It seems to never want to center when pushed left to right. Now when shifting it goes through the gates fine. I can push it straight up into 3rd from 2nd no problem. What would cause this?

i dont know what causes that but mine seemed wore out. i took it out and held it by the swhifter stalk and shook it and it sounded like a cow bell it had so much slop in it . i bought an mgw, installed it, and have 1st gear problems i think were atributed to the worn shifter.
