spec stage 3

have a spec stage 3 and the dam thing shudders like crazy and I broke it in just like the paper said to, has shuddered from day 1 anyone have any other good recommends for what brand to try next will need to hold a decent amount of power with a fidanza flywheel...... I was thinking a ram hd clutch

I have had no trouble with my Spec stage 3, maybe an installation error.

I have had a few spec and they do tend to chatter a bit. For the last one, I had the pressure plate and flywheel balance at a machine shop. Installed the unit and it hasn't made a sound. Really nothing you can do about it once its installed other then going throught the whole thing again. Spec says they come balance but they not are matched.

It takes a couple hundred miles in stop and go traffic for those to break in. I had a stage 1 and it never went totally away but was tolerable. I e-mailed SPEC and they said there stage 2 was the smoothest out of all of them.

I have a RAM and love it. Does chatter some, but not to bad for me to have the car as a DD. Mine is not one of the normal RAM clutches, but when I was choosing a clutch it seemed to have less negative comments.
