short throw swap?

my buddy got a short throw from a cobra late 90's early 00 around there and i was wondering if it would bolt up to mine, a pro 5.0 its for the T56 so thts why im curious thanks!

Wait....what? Your buddy took a shifter off a cobra. Is it the stock shifter? Pro 5.0 is a company that makes short throw shifters for both vehicles. Only the 03 and 04 cobra's came with the T56. '83-2000 cobra's had T45's.

no it was aftermarket but he sold it and took all his parts out so now its sitting in his garage but do u think it would bolt up the same?

The Cobra bolt pattern is different than an F-car .Both the T45 and the T56 Mustang shifter patterns will not fit an F-car. Same is true for the TR3650 Mustang.
