    shifting problems...

So ok i bought my 00 trans am WS.6 6 speed about a year ago and haven't had any problems until now. This isnt really a major problem but it does become a pain when i cant race. When ever i go to get on it, and run it through the gears, it will shift fine from 1 to 2, 2-3 gets harder, 3-4 is nearly impossible, and the only way it would think about 5 is if you ground'em but i dont like that. It will shift out no problem but its going into the new gear that I encounter this problem. This only is a problem above around 4k rpm, as long as its low rpm it will shift just fine. The clutch petal will also stick halfway on release from time to time. If anyone has had either of these problems or knows of the problem any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

you need to upgrade both your master and slave cylinders and that should fix the problem.

some people will tell you to do the 'drill mod', but that can be a PITA so just buy a RAM Master cylinder, put it in and call it a day. now, when you do the slave you have to drop the tranny out and you can replace that with an upgraded factory unit from GM. I would say to the Slave Cylinder on your next clutch change...

This was a while ago but i thought i would update it anyways. I replaced the master clutch cylinder and the problem was the resivour hose was ran under the u-bolt and was pintching it.
