    Rebuilt t56

My transmission went out with only 50 miles on it.. what the heck!!
.. so now im looking to get it rebuilt. Does any1 know where to get a better built t56 to handle more power??

What would be better a Rebuilt or just a new one?

I would look into having sixspeedinc rebuild your tranny. Granted you do have to have it shipped, but their basic rebuild should tide over almost any street car and when I have dealt with them I have nothing but great reviews (always nice to go in expecting a tranny rebuild and end up paying nothing).

If you are looking locally, maybe call around to transmission specialists. If you want someone that specializes in performance you will prolly end up going out of state. We have several here in Texas. Six Speed Inc (Houston), and Texas Drivetrain and Performance(Dallas). Can't think of any others right now. Had mine done at TDP. Have heard good things about Six Speed Inc. But personally I would buy the upgrade parts and have someone locally do it, I am sure there is someone in your area that is a certified transmission specialist. But would first call around, someone in your area may even offer the package.

They are a little more pricey than I thought. but you can always call and talk to Amber, she is very friendly from what I have been told. Good customer quality.
