which rebuild package 600RWTQ or 750RWTQ for my setup?

Basically my tranny went to crap on the dyno and no longer shifts into 3rd and not fully engaging into 1st. I found a few kits online. Currently my setup is at 450 HP and after final mods I will just break 500RWHP. My torque is 405 right now. The level 2 package is $600 and is rated at 600RWTQ the level 3 viper is $1300 (750RWTQ) and includes the main shaft, rear bellhousing (not sure of the name) and better gears.

I intend on taking the car to the track once the drivetrain is completely redone. Which setup will work best for my application? I know the numbers line up with level 2, but want to know your experience with this set up. I really do not want to mess with the tranny again so if its worth paying almost double for the level 3 then I will go with that set up. Thanks for the input.

I plan on sending mine to Tick Performance and let them do a Lv 2 with optional Viper gear. I think it was around $1600 shipped.

You got to ask yourself...Will I really need the Lv3? Will I reach that much power?

That's sounds like a really decent deal, depending on what all they are upgrading. I personally would just go big to have the piece of mind of never needing to service it again.

Does the level 3 come with the Viper gears or is that still extra cost? I believe my gears is what went out.
I dont plan of pushing the RWTQ for the level 3, but like 35th-ANV-SS said I want the piece of mind of not having to rebuild the tranny again and the fact that the stage 3 upgrades other components is a definite plus.

I sent you a PM with their info and link.

I can't post it here because they are not a site sponsor.

You want the Viper input shaft, the upgraded output shaft, bronze pads on 1-2 3-4, billet keys in 1-2 3-4, and the steel 3-4 shift fork. The gears are pretty strong and they hold up. If you want an extra piece of mind you can cryotreat them.

If the gears are strong what went out for it not to shift into 3rd?

If your car will not shift at all, you probably have a bent fork. If your car gets stuck in a gear, you have a busted synchronizer key. If your car doesn't stay in a gear (pops out), then you have a damaged synchronizer key.

Bent shift fork, missing or broken shift pad, broken sycnronizer key, busted up syncro, busted up syncronizer assembly. It's pretty hard to blow up the actual gear itself.
