    Programming question

I have a 2000 ss 6 speed. It is not equipped with the traction control button. Is there anyway to have this programmed out so that it will allow the car to spin a little more. My last car had this button. Just wondering

I'm thinking if you don't have the ASR button you prolly don't have traction control... Are you maybe talking about the skip shift??

    Sadly now demodded :(

Traction control (TCS or ASR depending on make) was an option. Not all cars have it. If you don't have an "ASR" of "TCS" control switch then your car doesn't have it and you don't need it deleted or tuned out.

FWIW my 98 has it while my 02 does not. With the ASR off I have no problems spinning the tires on the 98 which is an M6 car.

My problem is that when I do a burnout it will spin through 1st but when i shift to 2nd it just hooks and goes. It doesn't matter how hard I shift. My question was that even though I can not manually cut the traction control "ASR button" but isn't the car still equpped with traction control.
My understanding is that the ASR button just allows you to disengage the traction control for more fun.

I hope this is better way to post my question. If not i'll try again. Thanks for the help.

No.. If you don't have the switch you don't have traction control @ all... Hooking in second is more likely atributed to the type of tire you're using and the gear ratio in your rear end..
