Pro 5.0 or B&M Ripper
Whos had better luck with which? It's only a $5 diff in price, I also plan on gettin the Short Stick the ws6store offers also. Co-worker claims his Pro 5.0 isn't the greatest and he has to tighten up the bolts on from time to time.
Feedback on both products will be nice, I will say the Pro 5.0 claims to be 25% faster shifting where the B&M Ripper claims to have 30%, I imagine they are both realitively the same.

Never driven a car with te B&M Ripper, but my Pro 5.0 has been great. Its extremely precise and direct, and you really can't miss 3rd gear with it.
The bolts on the shifter can rattle loose because there is no rubber isolator in the shift handle like the stock unit has (not sure if the B&M is isolated, I dont think so though) but its nothing that some locktite or a nylon lock nut can't fix.

I personally have a Pro 5.0. It has been great so far, and I have not had a single problem with it. I have tried the B&M a little but that was on a Vette with a ZF transmission. If I were to choose based off of what I have tried then the 5.0 wins.

Pro 5.0 with ws6 store short shifter here, absolutely love it. Nice and firm shifting and takes abuse. Diffenately go with a shorter shifter. WS6 store is half the cost of a lous short stick and every bit as good.

i have the b&m, like wesman said about the 5.0 (precise and direct), same goes for the b&m, the shifts are a lot quicker(shorter) and much smoother. also i dont have a problem with any bolts coming loose (at least not yet). wat i dont like about the b&m is that you cant add a shorter stick, its not as tall as stock but its not as short as the lous short stick.

Locktite the bolts is a must in my opinion. Anyways the Pro 5.0 is a really nice piece, only thing I didn't like was it wouldn't automatically center itself. Weak internal spring. Made a thread about it and found alotta guys had this issue. I liked the B&M when the stick was one piece from the top of the stick to the ball at the bottom. I believe now the sticks are 2 piece/removable. Had em both but went back to the stock Hurst.

PEWETER METALIC- 2002 CAMARO Z-28 M-6
I just got the B&M after I swaped the clutch and had to rebuild and Beef up the T-56. It shifts way more precise and seems to be a very stout unit! I really like the fact that it has the built in over shift stops just incase!!!!!

I have the pro 5.0 with the LSS. I put locktite on all the bolts when I installed it and no issues of lose bolts.

I just replaced a second hand B&M Ripper in my car with a new Ripper. A previous owner had cut the threads off and drove a shift knob onto the stick in an attempt to rig a shorter stick. Lame stunt!! As mentioned by the others, the shift handle is one-piece stainless steel and cannot be replaced with a shorter handle. I can hear the transmission through the shifter since there isn't any rubber isolators. I like the way this shifter self-centers. I have not had a chance to really get through the gears but this shifter is very solid. It comes with 2 sets of locating washers so it can be set in the stock position, slightly forward or slightly closer to the driver.

That with a UMI short stick works amazing.
