    new clutch on the way suggestions needed

    Hello every one. I'm about to change out my clutch and I need you all's help. I'm looking to make about 550hp rwhp. I want it to be as much as street drivable as I can. What do you all recommend. Also is there any mod that i need to do to the tranny while is off let me know.

    First and most this is my project car so for your info i'm modifing it to be 550hp.( AFR heads and hot cam and other goodies) why would i go with a stock clucth?

    Mcleod Twin disk. RST or RXT

    talk to Lee at Mcleod. he will help you pick the best one.

    I have made over 100 passes and about 45 circuit laps on my mcleod twin disk. The clutch feels as light as stock for street manners, no chat and takes an beating.

    last year i did 16 hot lap passes down the strip, with 5K launches, then drove the car home. As far as miles my mcleod has about 3k on it.

    with the rxt or rst you do not have to buy an adj. master cylinder.

    also the clutch has a smaller dia. which allows for faster revs, do to less rotational mass

    You missed the point there. The other guy had asked what mods you had to be making 550hp, he was questioning you, not me, so drop the attitude towards me. I was correcting his misinterpretation of your initial comment.

    And Lethal,what size shot are you gonna be spraying to get 550 to the wheels?

    I almost wonder if the AFR heads would be a better mod by themself then adding the hotcam to them?
