    new clutch

So, clutch went.... Happens to us all, right? So....

Its mostly stock (free mods), my daily driver, blah blah. Should I do something like this:

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEWAX%3AIT

    or

    http://www.autopartswarehouse.com/sk...%26+Drivetrain

    or

    http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...K%3AMEWAX%3AIT

    or

    ?????

I don't do much except embarass the occasional ricer, but I don't want it too stiff. Wife needs to be able to drive it with minimal bitching, and I don't want my left leg muscle to get huge...

    Any input is greatly appreciated.

Hmmm. Does that include all the crap I need so I can take it to a shop and say "fix this". And is that kit preferable to the stage 2 clutches they have on their site?

It has a new flywheel, clutch disc, and pressure plate. Generally that's all you need. You may want to replace the slave cylinder while you're in there and maybe the pilot bearing.
This kit is recommended for stockish to mild cars, especially daily drivers. It has a stockish pedal effort and feel, but more holding capacity compared to the OEM LS1 clutch.

Took your advice. Bought the clutch, slave, and pilot from KY.

Now I have to wait patiently for the UPS guy to show up...

you might also get the rear main seal done, and put new fluid in the tranny.

I like it, I like it a LOT!! A tad firmer than stock. Now the car is fun to drive again. I've been dealing with a failing clutch for far too long.
