    need help with hydraulic line

    Im trying to disconnect the hydraulic line that connects to the slave cylinder
    but it wont come off.. I know u have to push in the plastic ring , it also has a metal clip that clips on side ways.. my ? is does that clip have to come off completly and if so theres not enough room to remove it all the way...
    can anybody help me solve this problem

    you can use two flat bladed screw drivers to push that plastic ring in. That will be what it takes to get it off. Pull on the hose at the same time. Be careful you don't break the plastic ring. I bought the fuel line disconnect tools to use the second time around. It was still hard, but it was a little easier with the tool. I can't remember the size. I bought three of them. The plastic set of these tools didn't do the trick. I bought the aluminum ones from checkers.

    Well I just changed the slave myself and I still have the tool that came with it but like said there's a metal clip right behind the plastic ring its on the slave part.. U know what I'm talkin about ?

    The white plasic collar needs to be pushed inside the slave fitting. It somewhat easy to push the while collar flush with the slave fitting, but a little trickier pushing it inside a little bit.
    I don't remember a metal clip being in the way...but its been a while.

    Yea, you should only have the plastic white collar that needs to be pressed in on the quick connect but thats all there is to it. Easier said then done of course.
