Careful with spec, they can be great at times and terrible at times.

i had a spec 3 in my last ws.6. Loved it. But i recall they aren't 100% consitant with their build quality. My buddy got the same in his LT1 and it failed miserably after 10k miles.

I have the Luk Pro Gold and love it. I've had it well over a year and it holds great, even with the 6th gear slip test (and i definately wouldnt say ive been gentle on it)

i had a spec stage 2 and i didnt get 3 miles and the pressure plate didnt even clamp down. it did the complete opposite and sprang out. spec would not warrenty it and i still have the shit sitting in the house.
luk clutches are the stock equvalant clutch just more expensive than your autozone shit.

I would look into Spec clutches, textralia, or a twin disk style
not true you can resurface the stocker just fine if you dont want to fork out the extra $$$, i did this and have 30k miles and no problems... just tell them to take off as little as possible
