lt16 speed compared to an ls1 6 speed

ok so i came across a good deal on a 97 ws6 trans am that been wrecked, its preety much no good from the rear axles back but it has a good ram air lt-1, 6 speed, rear end, good 17 inch ws6 wheels, anyways my ? is, is there any difference in an lt-1 6 speed and an ls1 6 speed cause i really wanna make my car a 6 speed if the tranny is the same. and i was wondering how hard it is to change the pedals and all that good stuff? lol

I'm guessing this is for your 99 LS car? well there are several things different. The input shaft is different on an lt1 6 speed v's LS1. also some of the bell housing bolt patterns were diferent but you should be able to swap that with no problem. There are some write ups on this so do a search or ask the guys in the MANUAL trans section. Mostly rear gears talked here you wont get many responses.
