Loose shifter
So I am driving down the road and my shifter has broke free under the shift boot. I can still shift but it twist real easy. I take it apart and I can not find any way to secure it in the hole. Any sugestions or experiences with this happening. Like I said I can still shift but I dont like the feel of it twisting with every shift.

Stock shifter? Throw it away and get an aftermarket one like a Pro 5.0 or similar-you'll wonder why you didn't do it sooner.

Sounds like the rubber isolator in the upper handle broke. It cannot be fixed and will have to be replaced. You may want to look at aftermarket options. You may want to try some one elses shifter combo before you trash yours as some of the aftermarket stuff is VERY noisy.
