    Loose HURST SHAFT! HELP

    Just changed stock shift grip to T-HURST grip now the shaft is loose,what happened? How do I tighten it?

    There are 2 bolts that hold the shaft to the shifter base under the boot.
    The standard Hurst stick is mounted in a rubber bushing which is junk to begin with and should be replaced with a Lou's Short Stick or similar stick for a more positive feel.

    You're right Z27 the rubber bushing is crap,how do you get that out?

    I bought my LSS directly from Lou. I think you can get them cheaper if youy do some lookin around. Maybe one of the sponsors? The 2 bolts hold the stick in and the rubber bushing comes out along with the stick.

    Here ya go, Stealthperf has a similar stick. Different ones may be shaped a little differently.

    Pic shows a mush mount stock stick and a Qwikstick from Stealth for $39.95.
