    Line Locks

Will line locks work on the stock t56 trans or even a manual trans. I came across them on ws6store.com and it got me thinking. Also how hard are they to install?

A line lock is used to maintain pressure on the front brakes and allows for easier burnouts and staging. There are kits that fit our cars and come with pre-bent lines. You mount the solenoid, install two new brake lines, and wire it up to a power source and switch. After installation, the brakes will need to be bled. Yes they will, the transmission has nothing to do with the braking system
Ashes to ashes and dust to dust, if it wasn't for fords our tools would rust

Yes they will work fine. Forget ws6store. Mark at kyspeed.com will get you a great deal and is a site sponsor.

I'll add another question to this: Except for the F-body specific SLP line lock, every other brand in the catalogue states that they are "not for use on ABS equipped vehicles". This includes TCI, Biondo, and Hurst. The Summit brand does not accept metric fittings and B&M simply does not specify.

I do not see any real difference between them -- anyone know why they are designated as non-ABS? If I were going to mount the line lock between the wheelhouse and wheelwell liner, I wouldn't need the pre-bent lines that come with the SLP kit, so the extra expense really is not justified.

I can get you any kit you would like at a good deal. The SLP is a hurst with lines. That is what I have sold in the past and what I use on mine.

I am thinking about a BLACK FRIDAY SALE on them.

Not really only thing i can figure is that SLP done some loop jumping and got it apporved thru GM or something.
