    Having trouble with clutch

Got a problem that hopefully someone can help me with. When sitting a light, or having the clutch pushed in for any extended amount of time, it barely comes off the floor. I can still push it in and shift gears, though it engages a lot quicker, but it wont come all the way back up. I eventually can get my foot underneath and bring it back up. Doesn't happen if I am not keeping it pushed in. Car only has 36000 miles. Thanks for the help!

The hydraulic system on these is pretty simple. If you are not having any fluid loss I would have to say it is the master cylinder. Cheap but a pain to replace since it is under the Brake booster.

Not a REAL pain I don't want to scare you, I just have big arms and it was a pain for me. Lots of people repace them in 30 min. Took me an hour and a half dropping bolts and bending my body around the fender

If it was leaking fluid I would say the slave maybe.

It is strange that it only does it when you hold it, not sure if the line could be collapsing. Somone else will talk about that if it is possible.

I would go with the master. Easy check is have someone hold it in and watch the reservoir. if the fluid starts to come back into the reservoir you know that you have a busted seal inside the master. Its not that hard to replace just make sure you rip that pesky star washer out from around the bolt before trying to pull the bolt out.
