Disable CAGS
im trying to put a resistor in my 02 camaro to disable the CAGS. well i went to my local electronic store and they said they could get me whatever resistor i wanted but i didnt know what size. they told me i need to find out how many ohms or how much resistance it will have. does anyone have a clue? thanks for the help

don't know how much you got to spend, but for around 30 bucks you can just pick up a SLP skip shift eliminator. http://store.summitracing.com/partde...part=sle-21008

It actually pretty easy to measure on the car. You are just similating the coil load of the solenoid. The resistor tricks the ECM into thinking the solenoid is in the circuit.

I had an extra solenoid & simply plugged that in and tie-wrapped it to the trans. Its been there since '99.
