clutch kit..

Can anyone recommend a reasonably priced clutch kit for a bone stock 99 ta? I don't need anything fancy, just something that will work well and problem free. I also will be reusing the factory flywheel so I don't need a kit with a flywheel.. Everything on e-bay is listed for camaros and make no mention of firebirds.. they are the same exact thing correct?

Kentucky Speed has the LS7 clutch kit (flywheel, pressure plate, and clutch disk.) They are a sponsor.

They are the same.

LS7 clutch kit is great for a stock or mildly modded f body. Not sure if you can use the stock flywheel or not, thought I read somewhere that you cant. Send a PM to this member, he will get you a good price on a clutch.

Never heard of them either. I'd just go with the tried and true LS7 kit from KYSPEED

are the spec clutches decent? If so what one would you recommend for a car thats probably never going to be anything more than bolt-ons? Is the factory flywheel really that bad that I should replace it? How much lighter is the ls7 flywheel?

The stock flywheel will not work with the LS7 pressure plate and disc.

Let me know if you want the Spec as were are a dealer with them also.

For a just a bolt on car, the LS7 clutch kit is the perfect choice, no questions asked.

The kit comes with a new flywheel, so you get the matching pressure plate, disc, and flywheel all together.

i just ordered the ls7 setup from tom at carolina clutch,call him and get a price 704-***-****

the kit # is 04-905 it is made by luk.
luk makes all clutches for gm

How long does it typically take to get things from kyspeed? I orderd my clutch kit on the 13th and it hasn't arrived yet.. I really need to get this car back on the road..
