clutch emergency.... help!
kind of like overnight my clutch went from firm to soft and stalling out at a lower point to the floor.
i haven't been burning clutch. well i checked the clutch master resevoir thing and it is empty.
so would that be the issue or is my clutch out???
it was perfectly fine 2 days ago....
what kind of oil should i pick up and to where do i fill it up???
no leak... that i am aware of... there's no leaks on my driveway....
this is my first stick car too by the way...
in the manual it says to fill to plastic step... wth is that???

One your fluid is broken down and needed a through bleeding. Two you have to have to leak somewhere for all the fluid to be gone. Third you will now have air in the lines and will need to be bleed.
You can use DOT3 or DOT4 brake fluid. You can get this at the local autoparts store near you. You fill it up where you just stuck your finger to the "step" in the plastic. Where the size changes from smaller to larger. But that is the issue why you have no clutch pedal. Your clutch should be fine. You need to make sure there are no leaks. Get a buddy to help you with filling and bleeding the clutch and look for leaks. There is a good write up in a sticky on how to do this. The write up is about the clutch pedal sticking to the floor.Last edited by 99ta316; 03-06-2008 at 03:31 PM. Reason: typo's
