Burned Out Clutch!
Need a good replacement for not a ton of cash. Guy at the dealership says 680 and it has a flywheel with it and you cant get it without the flywheel. Ram's Powergrip with a billet steel flywheel looks like a decent buy at just over $700. How good are Centerforce, Hayes, and others? Need Help badly.

I'm in the same boat as you but, unfortunately, there don't seem to be a lot of low-cost options. I'm looking at the Cartek clutch, which can be had for ~$600 (if you don't need a new master & slave). The other alternative I'm considering is the Textralia OZ700, but it's back in the $1000 area!

Hey Go to www.ramclutches.com the powergrip clutch kit is only 409 and with
that particular one you wont have get the flywheel, just make sure who ever install you clutch to machine the flywheel. Or for that price that was qouited to you you can get spec stage 3+ kit which is a good clutch for 580+.
BUT WHAT EVER YOU DO DO NOT GET A CENTER FORCE CLUTCH MINE ONLY LASTED 2MONTHS

I went ahead and ordered the stock one for now. Plan on getting the Spec stage 2 or 3 soon, along with the aluminum flywheel. Thanks for the help guys.

yes that true but after about 500 miles it should be fine. the kit is alot lighter
than the stock one that can explain some of the chattering

My old Spec 3 chattered occasionally, but it held good, even through all the abuse I put it through. I put a new one in around Thanksgiving and it didn't even chatter much during break in. The important thing to remember with the clutch is to get at least a new slave, if not new master and have the flywheel surfaced if its not new.

I would just go with the LS7 clutch. You can't beat its driveability or durability for the price, it will hold plenty of power, and it retains the stock pedal feel.
