    Blowing third

A few weeks ago i ran into an 06 charger RT with a pretty nice sounding exhaust, I have stock m6 and ran threw him no problem, i was quite impressed by my bird once again. Last night i staged with a late eights TA and i smoked him. The problem i have had with both is that i'm blowing right past 3rd into 5th, it really wasn't that much of a problem cause i had already had them by about three or far cars by the time i had to hit third, but what happens when i run with something that i will need third for. It doesn't happen when i drive normally just when i'm slamming gears near redline. Anyone else had that problem or suggestions. I bought i new short throw shifter but haven't dropped it in yet, do you think it will help?

Yes. Stock shifters and 3rd are not that great when pounding the car. It was like that in my 97 (Put in a SLP), it was like that in my Viper (Now B&M) and my SRT Ram (Now B&M) as well. I think all US manufacturers are in cahoots (sp) with aftermarket companies.
