A better transmission fluid?
I bought my '00 SS with 53,000 miles on it from a female driver who didn't seem to realize what she even had. So I figured the transmission fluid had never been changed. I finally did it about three weeks ago (67,000 miles) and replaced the fluid with Mobil 1 Fully Synthetic ATF even though I have a M6 From everything I've seen you guys write, I was expecting a big difference, a big improvement and smoother shifts. Boy was I wrong. There is a big difference, but it's for the worse. I can't really explain it, but it's not even close to being as smooth as it was. I've checked it twice in the past two weeks just to make sure it's full, and everything's okay, no leaks or anything. What's the odds that I could have drained something out that was better than Mobil 1? Or did I do something wrong? Please help......

I'm with you I changed my regular old ATF for royal purple sycromesh awhile back. I'm definetly going back to regular ATF. The whole synthetic tranny fluid in the m6 really seems to be up in the air. So like it some say never use it and most just stick with regular.
