    Best ATF Fluid

Was wondering what the best fluid was to put in the T-56 for a drain and refill. 59k on stock fluid. Was going to run Mobil or Redline synthetic but figured I would ask for opinions. Thanks in advance.

I used advance auto brand dex3 when I changed mine. Been thinking about trying synchromesh.

I'm currently using synchromesh and am happy with it
It's not the recommended fluid but works well imo

GM Synchromesh costs 75.00 for 1 gal at my local dealership. My rebuilder uses Valvoline high mileage Dex 3 ATF. He said it has additives that some of the others don't and it is much better for synchro wear. It works great in my trans.

I've tried several (including Valvoline) and prefer Redline D4.

well technically is your t56 is pre 01 with the paper synchros you should not use synthetic because it tears up the synchros however a lot of people run redline and mobil 1 so take from that what you will but everyone thati've talked to who builds them recommends whatever dex 3 dino thats on sale that day
