    Bad Master?

    Hi all,
I was driving my car ('00 M6) yesterday and the clutch quit. The pedal sits on the floor, and wont pump up. i tried bleeding the system, new fluid, etc. it wont pump any fluid at all so i'm thinking bad master, i figure its the easiest place to start. Its not leaking or losing any fluid.
Any recommendations? and anyone have the part # for an '02 GM master (I heard they were better in 01 and 02, any truth?)
    thanks!

I am pretty sure the master is the same for both 01/02. It was the pre-2001 MC's that were the junk ones.

Most people who upgrade go with either the newer GM one or the adjustable tick one. Just a suggestion also, but have you tried the drill mod?

Yeah I did the drill mod as soon as i got it out of the car today and it still wont suck in or push out any fluid. Guess ill have to wait for the dealership to open tomorrow and order one and try that first..

I don't even think they sell the older hydraulics anymore but to be safe, ask for a 2001 or 2002.

$149 on gmpartsdirect. Or I'll sell mine for $75+shipping. It is only about 3 years old and I kept the fluid clean in the new one.

Is it possible to blow the master and slave at the same time? my new master is installed and i was able to bleed it and get fluid pushing and it started leaking out the bell housing now. what do you all think? I need help/opinions before i start dropping the tranny.

Yep it possible to have a bad master and slave. And it sounds like that slave is leaking.

Are you getting presure at the pedal now? Is the clutch working? Where did the fluid go while you were bleeding the line? It has been a few years since I did mine, but I think when I bleed mine the fluid ran out the btm of the bellhousing.
