its easy to do a conversion, all you have to do is get parts and common sense,

    t56
    clutch, presure plate flywheel
    clutch master cylinder
    slave cylinder with throwout bearing
    manual pedals
    6 speed center console
repgrogram your ecm to an m6 program
    pilot bearing
    shifter

    ?s about conversion

i have a 2000 b4c camaro and would like to go to six-speed as well and have talked to several people about the wiring harness. no one seems to know whether or not i will have to change the harness out or not. i know i can do everything else, i just don't know whether to change the harness or to leave alone and just reprogram the ecm. any help will be appreciated on this.

the hole for the shifter you can measure out from another car. my plan is to find a wreking yard that has an ls1 six-speed car and buy all of the necessary parts for the conversion and perform the conversion myself
the mechanics of the conversion are not hard, it's just the wiring issues i'm having trouble finding answers to. any help will be appreciated on this.

not more trouble than its worth

if your a gearhead like me, and ya love to shift gears, then you will find that it is not to much trouble to do conversion. it is well worth it to feel the power. and this way you don't have to worry about more payments.
    Happy speed shifting

you can splice your existing harness, but its better if you get a new harness heres a link on how to convert a4 to m6

it has pics and everything, you have to cut hte floor board, scary but now hard, the slavy goes inside the bellshousing if you have an ls1, the slave goes just outside the bellshousing if you have an lt1, ths step by step instructions are the most thourough for being free and its easy,

Also don't forget the rear end (3.42 at least) and a driveshaft. M6 have aluminum. Steel is fine but it's better to balance them if you go 3.42 or higher.

Check thes guys out! I am going to call them myself as soon as I get the money for the parts. They are in Charlotte, NC and it says on their site that they will convert an A4 to a 6 spd for $750.00 plus parts
