    Anyone running a MGW shifter?

I've got to get what ever this one in my car is out and I've heard from a few friends that they are one of the best. Who sells them?

MGW sells these shifters and as far as I know they are the only company that does. They do not sub contract.. Here is the link I'm gonna order mine this week.

Someone on here said he got it and said it was his favorite mod so far. I've never heard anything bad about them.

only thing i can say about the shifter is that it does take a little more effort to get into gears. being as it has a shorter stick. the taller the stick the more leverage. i personally am thinking of going another route...

I got a Pro 5.0 for $60. For the price I couldn't, not buy it.

I have one in my Mustang and if I ever decide to swap out the Hurst in the CETA, MGW would be my first choice. Previous poster is correct, it is a very firm and notchy. Personally I like that. Just very different from rubbery stock feel.

I ordered my MGW a few days ago and the day after i got a call saying they were backordered for a week or two. Should be getting it next week

I went across back and forth between the 5.0 and the MGW and heard the MGW was quiet and extremely precise. Always heard good things of MGW and figured i'd give it a try

mgw here , i love it , it takes more effort to move it than my brother pro 5.0 in his 00 hawk. With that said mine goes into every gear amazing . It just feels more positive than his. When i drove his last year to the store with him just easy i missed 3rd twice on a short ride and mine goes in so perfect.

Can anyone post some pics of the MGW set up in their car? I'd like to see how it looks installed, thanks.

+1 i'm thinking of making a short throw my next mod and MGW seems to be where I'm heading. need a new shift boot and trim ring too if anyone knows where I can get those.

But seeing an MGW install would be nice.

Mine is tight, haven't tried the pro 5.0 but this one is short, and precise.
Would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a short throw shifter

You want pics of how it sits fully installed or the shifter under the boot?

I just installed a MGW shifter today. I printed out some install directions and everything went together great. I also put a hurst T handle with the line lock button on the side. Wasn't sure how I'd like the T handle, but it is great. The feel of the shifter is excellent, goes into the gears so much better than the stock hurst. Feels like a different car! This is one of the best things I've done so far.

+1 I put my MGW in on Saturday. LOVING it. Very straightforward simple easy mod. Anyone can do it in under an hour. Makes the car feel very different.

I can hit 3rd from anywhere in the pattern with 100% accuracy. only reason i should ever miss it again is if i'm off the clutch before i click it into gear

takes a good amount of effort to get it into 6th but you aren't really using that gear too much and 1-5 is pretty much cake. I'm VERY pleased.

that refers to the thread size for the shift knob - if you are using the stock or stock sized shift knob its the 16mm OEM size.

16mm will fit the knob in your car now. Meaning factory thread size
