    99 z28 SPEC clutch problem

Hi, i'm new to ls1.com and thought i'd give it a try. I have a 99 z28 and i just installed a SPEC stage 1 clutch and SPEC flywheel (steel not aluminum). I got to 360 miles on the break in period and then started getting a loud grinding noise when clutch is disengaged. this only happens sometimes. the gears go in fine and no noise when clutch is engaged. any help will be greatly appreciated.

    SPEC clutch problem

I drove the car today to work, abouy an hour. The car drove fine sll the way. Shiftd great
The problem is only when at a complete stop, or if clutch left disingaged for too long. As long as the clutch is engaged I'm good. And I installed it myself, if I installed something wrong, wouldn't I have noticed it from the beginning? This oroblem occured 340 miles after installation, but you never know, I could've done something wrong. Please help, if I get stuck in traffic on my way home, I'm S.O.L. thanks for replying, by the way I installed new pilot bushing and throwout bearing

    Spec clutch help

no i didn't. but the clutch engages fine. and disengages fine. only hear the grind if i leave the clutch disengaged too long. you think the slave is releasing pressure while i'm on the pedal for a little while. if i shift fast, it won't gring. if i shift like a granny then it grinds.
