LS7 will do just fine...but if you go up in power depending on how much you will need to upgrade further. A great clutch series is the Monster they have multiple stages that go up too 1000hp Im running the stg 3 good to 700/700 check out their site and different stages at a great price!

Your fine w/ the LS7. If your not doing any major mods to push you above 500 you should just stick w/ it. If you are going to jump the power over 500 I would definately go w/ a monster stage 3.

According the the OP he said he just over 400whp which is what 440-450 flywheel? advertised to be good at 550fwhp but not geting too picky I think he be happy with having a clutch that he wouldnt have to change later on down the road if he decides to put a little spray on it or something I say spend a little more get a better rated clutch...

I think it's more like 485+?.......I've Seen a few "505 fwhp vett" only dyno around 420-430 to wheels! & 0n the clutch being rated to 550, that's pretty close & prob. more for a 3200lb vett not an F-body!
But at least we both agree that an upgraded after market would be his best choice

For educational purposes for my knowledge and others, correct me if Im worng but at 400-ish to the wheels I think the general consus is a 10%(approx) drive train loss manual and 15%(approx) for auto thats kind of the thought process behind my comments. Am I in left feild on this?

i may be wrong but I've always been under the impression that with the stock 10 bolt there is a near 15% power-loss.... it's all on what set up he has.... 9 in and 12 bolts will definitely be more...

clutches are before the rear end..so those numbers dont mean much..as the power the clutch sees is higher then the power the rear sees as the power must turn the transmission, DS, and the rear itself.
