    1st - 2nd Grind

    Hey guys

My car is a 98 Trans Am ws6 and is having issues with the 1st to 2nd shift at WOT. Basically, it'll either grind a little bit and go in, or it won't go in at all. During this time, the clutch pedal is all the way to the floor. When I'm driving it normally (shifting under 4k) there is no grinding to be found.

If I give it more time before I shift (let the RMPs fall a little bit, 2 seconds) it'll usually go in without a problem.

Does anyone have an idea what the problem could be? I've tried changing the transmission fluid to syncromesh, bleeding the hydraulics with new Dot 4 fluid, and put on a Pro 5.0 shifter to replace the stock one.

The clutch seems to be holding fine. I've tried revving it up high at a stop (with it in first) and it doesn't move at all.

The original owner replaced the clutch with a Centerforce II clutch so I'm not sure if that has anything to do with this.

    Any suggestions are appreciated. Thanks
