'01 T/A Diff Noise
I know the stock torsen diffs in in the late model f-bodies are prone to failures, but what exactly goes bad? I have a M6 and have been running 4.10's for the past six years. I'm now hearing noise from the rear (clunking when changing from forward to reverse and around corners) and suspect the problem is in the diff. Are the problems with the torsen units gear problems, bearing problems or problems with the diff itself? I want to plan the pull down and have no idea what to expect. Any help would be appreciated.

Pewter- 2000 Pontiac Trans Am
i had something similar, i changed the fluid and added a additive and it went away. my car has 120k miles on it and everything is original, except fluids. and those damn headlight motors, so ive kinda started taking it easy on it.
